Peter Todd

A technology leader, and a few of the things I care about.

For much of my career I’ve built technology businesses and turned difficult ideas into systems that work in the real world. These days I’m CTO at Opencapacity — though this is my own corner of the web, not anything to do with work.

What keeps me curious is the moment a new idea stops being a demonstration and becomes genuinely useful: technically, commercially, and to the people who ultimately rely on it.

Beyond that, there’s more to life than work. I travel when I can, preferring to properly understand a place rather than simply pass through it. I’m happiest outdoors — walking, hiking and cycling — and try to stay fit enough to keep doing all three.

I also have a soft spot for things done well, whether that’s technology, food, art, music, theatre or dance. What counts as “well” is, of course, open to considerable debate.
